Preserving Yoga
For Generations
Hatha Vidya Traditional School of Yoga was founded with the aim to preserve and spread the classical practices of Hatha Yoga so that the right knowledge of Yoga can be imparted to the world.
Hath Yogic lineage traces back to Adi Nath (The first sound). This is the lineage that has left no signature or stamp on any of the yogic practices. It is all-embracing, all-inclusive, and universal in its application to entire humankind.
he Hath Yogic practices have majorly been taught through verbal transmissions from the Guru to Shishya (the disciple). Historically there had been few manuscripts and shastras (classical texts) which list down some of its practices but are scattered across innumerable texts.

Name spells
Tradition
Our school practices Hathavidya yoga, which goes beyond physical exercise. We consider them "name spells," each with deep meaning and energy. These postures, named after deities, animals, or natural elements, allow you to connect with their essence. Warrior pose, or Virabhadrasana, is a chance to embody the mythical warrior's unwavering courage. The stability and groundedness of a tree are reflected in Vrksasana, Tree pose, which goes beyond balance. This philosophy goes beyond symbolism. By understanding the "name spells," we improve our practice, develop specific traits, and connect the physical and subtle energetic realms. Asanas are more than just stretching; they weave a tapestry of intention, mythological significance, and profound self-discovery. Visit our Hathavidya school to experience yoga in its purest form: mindful exploration, meaningful movement, and self-connection.

Pillars of Hathavidya Pranayama (Volume 2)
The term "Hatha Vidya" means the wisdom of yoga. 'Hatha' in Sanskrit is composed of two syllables, 'Ha' and 'tha', in which 'ha' represents the prana and 'tha' represents the mental energy. When practicing Hatha Vidya, the synchronized flow of these two energies leads to a balanced state of mind.
Hatha Vidya is the purest and most traditional form of yoga. It is the first step to improving one's psycho-physiological state (mind and body) to attain complete wellbeing. Hatha Vidya empowers the practitioner to control the mind through the body.

MUDRA AND BANDHA
In yoga, mudras are symbolic hand motions that help improve concentration and channel energy. Bandhas are energy locks that use contractions of the muscles to reroute and hold prana. When combined, these techniques enhance internal energy flow, strengthen the mind-body connection, and add to yoga's overall health advantages.
we are the followers of traditional hatha Yoga, so our publications only contains traditional yoga practices and methods.
